Customizing the position columns

You can customize the data that's displayed in your positions tab by editing the displayed columns. Default columns contain an asterisk.     
Column Description
Symbol* Name of the stock in an abbreviated format.
Description

Description of the security as represented by the symbol.

Open qty*
Number of shares or contracts that are currently held for a specific symbol. A negative figure is displayed for short positions, and zero will be displayed (intraday) for positions that have been closed out in the current trading day.
Closed qty*
Represents the number of shares or contracts closed on one of your positions.
Price*
Current security price.
Mkt value*
Current market value of the security.
% portfolio*
Proportion of the current position's market value over the entire portfolio. This is only available on main positions; not on sub-positions.
% P&L day Daily percentage of profit and loss figures for a position’s open quantities. 
P/L open*
Profit and loss figures for the open quantities of the position.
Closed P&L*
Represents the realized profit and loss (P&L) figures in your account. This includes closed positions during the current day, and realized P&L values for positions you still hold.

Avg price*
 
Average price at which the account entered the position.
Currency Domicile currency of the symbol that is referenced to in the position.
Date/Time Indicates when the position has been added.
Entry price Entry price of the underlying position.
Market Indicates the market on which the position trades (based on the symbol shown).
P/L day Daily profit and loss figures for the open quantities of the position.
Sec type Displays information on the type of security based on the symbol.
Total value Total value of the current position. Only available on main positions; not on sub-positions.
Exp Expiration date of the call or put option. Values in this field are applicable to both single-leg and multi-leg options. 

Note: for option strategies, the parent row will be blank. Each child row will display the expiry date for each strategy leg separately.
Days to exp Number of days remaining until the option contract is no longer valid. 

For example, if the current date is March 20, 2013 and the expiration date is March 25, 2013, then the Days to exp field would display 5. 
Strike  For single-leg options, the strike price will be shown. 

For option strategies, the parent row will be blank. Each child row will display the individual strike price for each strategy leg.
Option type  For single-leg options, shows whether the option type is a call or a put.

For multi-leg options, the parent row will be blank. Each child row will display the corresponding option type for each strategy leg. 
Strategy type  Name of the strategy being implemented. Only the parent row will be populated; child rows will appear blank. One of the following strategies will be listed:

  • Vertical call
  • Vertical put
  • Calendar call
  • Calendar put
  • Diagonal call
  • Diagonal put
  • Straddle
  • Strangle
  • Covered call
  • Married put
  • Butterfly call
  • Butterfly put
  • Condor call
  • Condor put
  • Iron butterfly
  • Iron condor
  • Collar
Delta   Ratio comparing the change in the price of the underlying asset to the corresponding change in the price of a derivative. This field will be available for single options and the parent and child rows of option strategies.
Gamma  Rate of change for delta with respect to the underlying asset's price.This field is available for single options and the parent and child rows of option strategies.
Vega  Amount that the price of an option changes compared to a 1% change in volatility.This field is available for single options and the parent and child rows of option strategies.
Theta  Measure of the rate of decline in the value of an option due to the passage of time.This field is available for single options and the parent and child rows of option strategies.
Rho  Rate at which the price of a derivative changes relative to a change in the risk-free rate of interest. This field is available for single options and the parent and child rows of option strategies.
Implied volatility  Estimated volatility of a security's price. This field is available for single options and strategy child rows. It will be blank for the parent row.
ITM flag  Indicates if the option is in-the-money.This field is available for single options and strategy child rows. It will be blank for the parent row.
