Customizing the watch list columns

You can customize the data that's displayed in your watch list by editing the displayed columns. Default columns contain an asterisk.     
Column Description

52 high

Highest price at which a stock has traded over the past 52 weeks.

52 low

Lowest price at which a stock has traded over the past  52 weeks.


Best (lowest) price for which the market is willing to sell the stock.

Ask sz

Number of shares/contracts a seller is selling at a quoted ask price.

Avg vol

Average amount of individual securities traded in a three-month period.


Best (highest) price for which the market is willing to buy the stock.

Bid sz

Number of shares/contracts a buyer is willing to purchase at the quoted bid price.

Cash in lieu

Any specific type of exchange occurring in relation to the security.


Direction of the last traded price from the previous price level.

Chg %*

Price and percentage change from the previous close price.


Closing price from the previous market session.

Contract sz

Size of the contract.


Currency of the security.

Days to exp

Number of days to the date on which an options or futures contract is no longer valid.


Ratio that measures an option's price movement compared to the underlying interest's price moment. Delta values have a range of 0 to 1. Deep in-the-money options have details that approach 1.


Distribution of a portion of a company's earnings.


Earnings per share – indicates the portion of a company's profit allocated to each outstanding share of common stock.


Exchange on which the symbol is traded.


Date on, or after, that a security is traded without a previously declared dividend or distribution. After the ex-date, a stock is said to trade ex-dividend.


Rate of change for delta with respect to the underlying asset's price.


Highest price paid for the symbol during market hours.

Implied vol

Estimated volatility of a security's price.


Last traded price.

Last trade

Date/time at which the symbol was last traded. If the last trade occurred during the current trading day, the field will display HH:MM:SS. If the last known trade occurred during the previous trading days, the field will display month and day (Example: Oct 9).


Lowest price paid for the symbol during market hours.

Mkt cap

Total value of a company's stock.


Constant, usually 100, that is multiplied by the underlying share price or by the cash index value to determine the dollar value underlying the option.


First trade made at the market open.

Open int

Net open positions of a futures or options contract.


Price-earnings ratio – a valuation ratio of a company's current share price compared to its earnings per share.


Rate at which the price of a derivative changes relative to a change in the risk-free rate of interest.

Sec type

Type of security, such as stock, bond, or mutual fund.

Security ID

ID of the security.


Stock currently held by investors, including restricted shares owned by the company's officers and insiders, as well as those held by the public.


Indicates the style of the option. That is, European or an American option.


Displays the symbol name.


Measure of the rate of decline in the value of an option due to the passage of time.


Indicates if the current price is above or below last traded price. This is represented by an up/down arrow. If there is no change in price or if the data is not available, a dash (-) symbol will appear.


Option's underlying symbol.


Amount that the price of an option changes compared to a 1% change in volatility.


Venues where the option contract trades.


Last trade made during the previous market session.


Income return on an investment. This refers to the interest or dividends received and is usually expressed annually as a percentage based on the investment's cost, its current market value, or its face value.
