Crosshair types

Crosshair consists of a horizontal line and a vertical line that cross each other wherever the cursor is placed on a chart. This feature lets you view specific price and value levels within a chart and to align data with the same time value in the volume area of the chart window.

Crosshair is enabled by default. To disable crosshair, click Chart near the chart window toolbar, then click Crosshair type and select None from the submenu. You can also customize crosshair display for the platform in order to view only vertical or horizontal crosshair lines. To set crosshair options, click Chart, then Crosshair type. For information on changing other configurable settings, see Charts.

Unlike the horizontal line, the vertical line spans into the volume area.

Vertical line.

When the cursor points to a crosshair, the horizontal and vertical lines representing the crosshair are highlighted, as are the corresponding price and time values on the axis.
